2010 AHSCS Classes web page, you will find the classes, class color number plate samples and an explanation of Advancement Percentiles. I hope this helps...
7. Series Points and Awards: Series points (Bike and ATV) will be awarded to Series Members Only, and are based on 70% (rounded to the nearest whole number) of the total number of series races, or 9 races whichever is less. Series points for Nonmembers will not be scored with the series members. Riders will only receive series points from the races which he is a member, and will not receive points from previous races from which he was not a member of the series. Riders must ride 70% (rounded to the nearest whole number) of the total number of series races, or 9 races whichever is less of the total number of races to be eligible for year-end awards. If you have entered a race and DNF the race, that race will count toward your 70% of races needed to be eligible for both year-end awards and points. Any rider that is disqualified from an event will not receive points. Regardless of the number of races attended by a member, class and overall placement will be determined by points.
In reference to the chute rule requiring us to stop... now that we are using transponders, is a "california stop" allowed where we slowly role through as long as we hear the confirmation beep (and display shown)? If so, will this rule be updated?
I usually stop after i'm scored for a split second to see the timing display anyway, but i was just curious.
I'll have to defer my complete answer until we are a few races into the season.
It is the riders responsibility to ensure that they are scored at the main checkpoint. In order to do that the rider needs to look at the board when they are in the checkpoint. Whenever the system recognizes the rider it will display the riders number on the board and the rider is free to leave the checkpoint. If the system does not recognize the rider will need to tell the person running the checkpoint what their bike number is and wait for it to display on the board, once it displays they are free to go.
another question - can someone make this rider AP page ( http://www.ahscs.com/mmtadvpct.asp ) a sticky or, even better, a link on the series points page? maybe you guys already had something like that in mind... just think it would be pretty nice to see what your AP was doing throughout the year and for each race.
Everett, sorry man, but class numbers 1-10 are reserved for the top 10 overall riders from the previous year. Even if the rider does not choose to use the number. Numbers 11-99 are reserved for AA and A Class riders.
Move up to A Vet and you can run #48. I think you can take em!
Farrell - Jordan ran #109 last year. He is not going to join the series this year, but would like to know if our son Jeremy (peewee) can have his number. If so, can you change Jeremy's number from what it is currently to #109? Please and Thank You....and sorry for being a pain ;)
