Since I have not seen one of the injured racers mentioned I thought it's a story worth telling. This racer broke a big toe on the practice lap - started and finished the race in 2nd place, just seconds behind first - so the next time you see Lauren Watson (#303) at the races tell her how tuff you think this young lady is.
She's one tough chick alright! And a very good rider. I hate that she broke her toe. I talked to her on the line after the practice lap and she didn't even act like she was hurting! Never even mentioned that she was injured. I honestly thought she had done it on her big wipe out just before the finish (it was pretty gnarly). Just goes to show you that chicks are tough too. Good job Lauren, you definately made me ride for it. Pretty sure that's faster than either of us has ever ridden before. I was WAY outta my comfort zone ...lol. Just wish you weren't out on the injured list so that we could do it again soon!
